I don't care if you stay or go, it's your decision. I think that there alot of inaccuracies in your posts. One example is on this post you say you are new to JW's, but in a previous post you said that you were DF'ed twice. Is this correct? If it is, you can not be new to the "troof". Please tell me if I am mistaken.

Dont shoot me!!
by angel eyes inok here we go...im going to put my head on the chopping board (so to speak).
i only came on here to meet new people and have chats etc...yes i am a jw and do love jah.....but im also just an average person who im pretty sure many of you would get on with if we had the time to chat about other things too.... i think some want me to go....sad but yes true.....if you all want me to go then i'll do that..im fine with it as i just want to please people...... i know jb and some say they want to go to my elders,and honestly im fine with that but surely if someone is threatening then they clearly dont want me on here...... time to go???????

Who has given the masterbation talk on the TMS?

when i looked at the talk slip and saw the theme, i thought at least they have an expert on the subject.
the best thing about it was that the point i was to be counseled on was gestures.

Very few who are in with any position will step down. Do you know how long they have brown-nosed and played "I'm better than the rest of you", how many people they have climbed over and stepped on to get their position? They are supposed to serve the cong, but all most want is the status symbol and the title. I'm not saying all who hold postions are like this, but in my 28 years in, I know of 2 or 3 who thought they were doing what is right, and were actually good hearted men.
I have to agree with Creativhoney, if you are an elder still in, don't post on here about how sorry you are about what decisions you had to make on a JC. Have the balls to get yourself out of the position you are in so you will not have to do the same again in the future. Does this sound familiar, "Are you showing true repentance if you continue in your wrongdoing?"

Senior fire hazard in my building
by Lady Lee ini live in an apartment building for seniors.
it is a requirement that residents must be able to care for themselves.. across the hall and two doors down there is an elderly woman who lives alone.
she is an alcoholic.. in the 5 years since i have been living here there have been numerous incidents where she gets drunk, puts something on the stove and passes out.

I would first talk to the building manager to see if the stove can be removed or disconnected. She can use a microwave which would be much more safe and still have the ability to cook, without risking building and tennant safety.

since jehovah's witnesses insist on using what they say is the only name for god, jehovah, they may surprised to hear what marvin's research has discovered.

I just read it, got it on Amazon.com for $16 including shipping. It goes through all the history from Russel to printing in 2002. Very good read. You can also get in PDF if you want.

Growing up as a JW?
by Nicolas inhi, just wanted to share a bit of my experience, especially in my childhood.
i've been a lurker for a while here.
dunno if my experience is unique (probably not), i've been in the jw for almost all of my childhood, then i became inactive around the age of 12 because i followed my parents when they decided to become inactive.

The first thing you need to do is get an education so you are not washing windows or cleaning toilets for the rest of your life. Not that there is anything wrong with those occupations, but is that what you WANT to do? You can start taking a few classes each semester, you have to take Art, Music appreciation at first, then pick subjucts that interest you. I took English, Psychology and History. After you see what you like or what subjects you excel at, pick a major and pursue it.
That is how I did it, and I haven't been in school in 25 years, so you do not have as much rust on you as I did.There you will meet all kinds of people from all ages and backgrounds.
